About the Libyan Automobile and Touring Club
The Libyan Automobile and Touring Club was established by a Royal Decree on 03/05/1969 AD.It is an independent body with legal personality and independent financial status, and it is the sole entity in the State of Libya authorized to issue international driving permits and customs carnets, regulate the passage of vehicles at checkpoints, and issue insurance documents for vehicles entering and leaving the State of Libya.
The Club is a member of the World Tourism Organization (**AIT**) and the International Automobile Federation (**FIA**). Through its management of sports activities related to motor sports and motorcycle racing, and in coordination with relevant authorities, the Club seeks to obtain a sports activity license to practice these sports professionally in accordance with the international standards of the International Automobile Federation (**FIA**).
